Llechwen Hall Hotel Bee Project

Our newest project – working with the award-winning Llechwen Hall Hotel & Restaurant on their beautiful site in the heart of the Cynon Valley.

Llechwen Hall Hotel were interested in developing an apiary on their land to support bio-diversity and provide their own local honey for their restaurant and guests. We were connected as organisations by the Caerphilly Council Rural Development Project who we had already been working with on a number of bee projects such as the Queen Bee rearing project and have worked with them at a number of public events.

Our beekeepers initially invited Llechwen Hall Hotel staff to visit our site and experience the bees up close, and having enjoyed the experience, decided to sponsor our site and in return we have provided training to their staff and have now installed a number of hives for them on their land.

We are working closely with Llechwen Hall Hotel to develop their apiary further and through their support we are developing our site further to support pollinators and provide educational facilities for local schools and community groups.
